Andrew Knutsen

Andrew is a senior undergraduate electrical engineering student heading down the Elctro-Physics track. He is a 9 year US Navy Submarine veteran who loves spending time with his family. His future plans are to finish his degree and get out and find a job!

Q: What Inspired You to Join HKN?

Leaving the military has left me with few friends here in Hawaii, so I thought this would be a great way to put myself out there!

Q: Where is your hometown and favorite place on the island?

My home town is in Spokane Washington. My favorite place on the island is probably Doraku Sushi in Kaka’ako, where I met my wife. We still go there at least once a year.

Q: What video game / movie / TV show would you want to live in and why?

I’d say I would want to live in the anime Full Metal Alchemist. A world where alchemy is just as real as physics would be interesting.

Q: What would you like to accomplish the most from your “bucket” list?

I would like to experience being rocketed into outer space.
