Joshua Samonte

I am a Junior at UH Mānoa studying computer engineering. I grew up here on O’ahu and graduated from Kamehameha in 2021. Outside of school, I enjoy spending my free time surfing and lifting.

Q: What Inspired You to Join HKN?

I saw HKN as an opportunity to be more involved in the engineering community, a gateway to create more connections and a way to elevate myself as an engineer.

Q: Where is your hometown and favorite place on the island?

I am from Moanalua, and my favorite place on the island is the beach.

Q: What video game / movie / TV show would you want to live in and why?

I would probably want to live in a Mission Impossible movie so I can be a spy.

Q: What would you like to accomplish the most from your “bucket” list?

I don’t really have a bucket list, but skydiving is one of the first things to come to mind.
