Mikel Ishihara

Mikel Ishihara is a senior in Computer Engineering at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. His academic interests include software development and machine learning applications. After graduation, he hopes to work as a software engineer. In his free time, he enjoys going to the gym and programming.

Q: What Inspired You to Join HKN?

I joined HKN to get involved in the engineering community on campus and make new friends.

Q: Where is your hometown and favorite place on the island?

I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. My favorite place on the island is Sunset Beach in North Shore.

Q: What video game / movie / TV show would you want to live in and why?

I would want to live in the Futurama world because there are all kinds of planets to explore and aliens to meet.

Q: What would you like to accomplish the most from your “bucket” list?

At some point in time I would love to go to Tomorrowland in Belgium
