Teal Hoffman

Teal is a Junior pursuing an electrical engineering degree of the electro physics track due to her love of science and physics. She is interested in a variety of engineering applications like radar systems, space exploration, and sustainability. Her goal is to make use of her passions to contribute to a community and make advances in technology for the future. During her free time she enjoys going to the gym, reading books, and being in nature.

Q: What inspired you to join HKN?

I wanted to meet new people and participate in HKN due to some of my friends participating as well. When I heard that HKN did community service opportunities and socials, I also decided it was the right place for me.

Q: Where is your hometown and favorite place on island?

My hometown is Niu Valley and my favorite place on island would probably be my neighborhood, because it is a cozy area with a friendly community.

Q: What video game / movie / TV show would you want to live in and why?

This one is difficult because I feel like most movies or fictional worlds have plots where the world is dying or something crazy is happening for dramatic effect. If I were to live in any fictional world it would be Pokémon… so I could catch em all. (Some Pokémon are also adorable)

Q: What would you like to accomplish the most from your “bucket” list?

I reaallly want to go to the Barnes and Noble Book Festival in New York in March 14th, 2025. It’s like a book con where you pay a fixed price to get in and grab as many books as you’d like, meet the authors, author signings, get exclusive merchandise, and other bookie activities.
