Q: What inspired you to join HKN?
I wanted to join IEEE-HKN to connect with academic peers who share similar goals in electrical and computer engineering. I also saw it as an opportunity to contribute to the UH Mānoa engineering community.
Q: Where is your hometown and favorite place on island?
I consider myself to have two hometowns: I was born and raised in Japan before moving to the Big Island of Hawaiʻi. One of my favorite spots on Oʻahu is Kakaʻako Café, where I enjoy relaxing and grabbing one of their great bagels.
Q: What video game / movie / TV show would you want to live in and why?
If I could live in any movie, I would pick Harry Potter. The world of Hogwarts, with magic, Quidditch, and places like Diagon Alley, has always seemed so fun and exciting to me.
Q: What would you like to accomplish the most from your “bucket” list?
I want to go on a trip to a trip to Japan with my friends. I want to go back to the places where I grew up as a kid.
